Obituaries for Tuesday, May 3, 2005
Thomas Michael Mysliwiec, 44, of La Crosse died Sunday, May 1, 2005.
He was born in La Crosse on Jan. 13, 1961, to Bernard and Shirley (Bunker) Mysliwiec, and graduated from La Crosse Central High School in 1979.
Tom had worked at La Crosse Footwear for the past 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, spectator sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Tom was a very kind and generous person who always put others' needs ahead of his own. He will always be loved and missed by all those who knew him.
Tom is survived by his mother, Shirley Mysliwiec of La Crosse; four brothers, Ronald (Barb) Mysliwiec of Stoddard, Wis., David (Cindy) Mysliwiec, Tim (Dawn) Mysliwiec and Mike (fiancé, Jennifer Krause) Mysliwiec, all of La Crosse; eight nieces and nephews, Eric, Jenna, Matt, Marie, Nathan, Tyler, Carley and Kelsey; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bernie on June 23, 2003.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Kunz officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Francis Mausoleum, Catholic Cemetery.
Friends and family may call at Schumacher-Kish Funeral Home of La Crosse on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m., where a rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m., and again at the church Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
